Token Test Perspex

The Token Test (De Renzi & Vignolo 1962) is well-known as a central test in aphasia diagnostics because of the high discriminative power in distinguishing aphasic and nonaphasic patients with neurological damage.

A shortened version of the Token Test (36 commands), developed by De Renzi & Faglioni 1978 with a similar sensitivity, is again produced by the Institute Brain and Behavior Rotterdam (IHGR, Instituut Hersenen en Gedrag Rotterdam): the Token Test Perspex.

The test with 36 commands consists of red, yellow, green, black and white perspex circles and squares in a perspex box with shutter. Price: € 68 excluded shipping costs.

The tester put the tokens in a varying display per subpart, reads aloud the commands and writes down the score on the scoreform (to be downloaded).

A digital version is also available with recorded commands of native speakers and an automatic scoring, obtainable in the App Store (RuG Token Test).

The commands are available in about 40 languages both in the digital and the analogous version.
